Alfred Heath was born in Gloucester circa 1878.

 

He signed up with the Royal Warwickshire Regiment Militia on 15th May 1899 aged 21, joining from the 1st Volunteer Battalion of the Royal Warwick Regt.

 

He was an Apprentice Driller in Birmingham.

 

Promoted to Corporal on 16th April 1900.

Promoted to Sergeant on 10th August 1904.

 

Embodied for active service in the Boer War on 14th December 1899

Disembodied on 3rd June 1901.

 

Discharged at the end of his terms of engagement on 14th May 1905.
