The roll notes his initials as “W.G.”
During the Boer War, Private Reeves was with the 19th Hussars during the campaign fought in Eastern Transvaal.
During this period they were particularly busy and fought in many actions and skirmishes, and seem to have been fighting alongside the 18th Hussars.
